Billing

Subscribe to Pro, upgrade to Team, manage or cancel it, fix a failed payment, buy team seats and find your invoices.

Codz Pro and Team are monthly subscriptions in US dollars. You buy and manage them on codz.com, where Stripe takes the payment; Codz never sees or stores your card details. You can also buy Pro inside Codz Remote on iPhone, where Apple bills it.

Pro is $20 per month. Team is $40 per seat per month, for up to 100 seats. Prices exclude any taxes that apply where you are, and paid plans renew monthly until you cancel.

Subscribe to Pro

  1. Sign in at codz.com/dashboard/billing. On your Mac, Upgrade to Pro in Settings ▸ Account opens your dashboard’s Settings, which offers the same button.
  2. Click Upgrade to Pro.
  3. Pay in Stripe Checkout. It accepts promotion codes.

Checkout returns you to Billing & Invoices, which says Welcome to Codz Pro. Your subscription is active. If your payment is still processing, the page says so and updates once Stripe confirms it. If you leave Checkout without paying, nothing is charged.

Then sign in on your Mac with the same account. Settings ▸ Account reads Codz Pro, and the Pro features unlock.

Manage your subscription

On Billing & Invoices, click Manage plan or Manage in Stripe to open Stripe’s billing portal. There you can:

  • update your payment method,
  • see your invoice history,
  • cancel your subscription.

The portal doesn’t switch plans. On your Mac, Manage plan in Settings ▸ Account opens your dashboard’s Settings, whose Manage plan leads to Billing & Invoices. That page shows the date your plan renews.

Cancel

Cancel in the billing portal. Pro stays on until the end of the period you’ve already paid for, and Billing & Invoices says when: “Your subscription is set to cancel on” that date, and that you keep Pro until then.

When the period ends:

  • Pro features lock again on your Macs, and usage sync stops.
  • Your public profile and your global stats sharing are switched off.
  • Nothing on your Mac is deleted, and the usage you already synced stays in your account.

Refunds follow the Terms of Service.

A payment fails

While a payment needs attention, Pro is paused. Your dashboard’s sidebar and Settings show Billing action needed, and Billing & Invoices shows Your subscription needs attention. Each offers Fix billing, which opens the billing portal to update your payment method.

Until then, sync and profile publishing stop, and Codz keeps working locally on your Mac. Your public profile and global stats sharing are switched off, and stay off until you turn them on again.

Buy Pro on iPhone

In Codz Remote, open Settings and tap Upgrade to Codz Pro, which shows the monthly price in your App Store currency. It is the same Codz Pro: Apple bills it, and it unlocks Pro on your account everywhere, your Mac included.

  • To change or cancel it, tap Manage subscription in Codz Remote’s Settings, or use Settings ▸ Apple Account on your iPhone or Mac. Your dashboard shows Pro · App Store and offers no billing portal for it.
  • Restore purchases checks the App Store for a Codz Pro subscription you already bought.
  • If you already pay on the web, Codz Remote says so: your web subscription already includes Remote, and there is no second purchase.
  • Refunds for App Store purchases go through Apple.

Upgrade to Team

Team gives everyone you add Codz Pro, under one team you manage. You can upgrade from Free or from Pro:

  1. On Billing & Invoices, under Upgrade, click Upgrade to Team. Upgrade to Team in your dashboard’s Settings and on Organizations opens the same form.
  2. Enter a Team name, a Slug (the team’s address, codz.com/orgs/slug) and the number of Seats: one for you and one for each teammate. You can add seats later.
  3. Confirm:
    • If you pay for Pro on the web, click Review upgrade. It shows what you pay today, which is Team for the rest of your current billing period less what’s left of Pro, and the monthly price after that. Click Upgrade and pay to confirm. The card your Pro subscription uses is charged, your Pro subscription becomes the team’s, and it renews on the same date. If the card is declined, nothing changes.
    • Otherwise, click Continue to checkout and pay for the seats in Stripe Checkout. Pro bought in Codz Remote stays as it is: cancel it in Settings ▸ Apple Account once your team seat covers you, or you pay for both.

The team’s page opens, where you can invite people.

A team you upgraded to from Pro on the web is billed on your own account, so its invoices appear on your Billing & Invoices. Only you can change its seats or open its billing portal, even as an admin or member, and you can’t leave the team while its subscription bills you. To stop paying for it, cancel it in the billing portal.

Team seats

A Team subscription belongs to an organization. Its owner and admins manage it in the Billing section of the organization’s page on codz.com:

  • Purchase seats opens Stripe Checkout for the number of seats you enter, between 1 and 100 and at least the number of members. You can change the quantity in Checkout too.
  • Update seats changes the count in place. Adding seats is prorated immediately. Removing seats takes effect at the next renewal and isn’t credited, and you can’t go below the number of members.
  • Manage billing opens the team’s billing portal for its payment method, invoices and cancellation.

Teams & organizations covers seats, invitations and what a lapsed team subscription means for members.

Questions

Where are my invoices?

For Pro, and for a team you upgraded to from Pro, under Invoices on Billing & Invoices: each one’s date, status and amount, and View opens Stripe’s page for it. The billing portal has them too. For any other team, open the billing portal from Manage billing in the organization’s Billing section.

Can I switch plans?

From Pro to Team, yes: Upgrade to Team switches your Pro subscription to the team. The billing portal doesn’t switch plans. Joining someone else’s team doesn’t cancel a personal Pro subscription, so cancel it in the billing portal if you no longer need it.

Does Codz store my card?

No. Stripe or Apple takes the payment. Codz keeps only what it needs to know whether your account is entitled to Pro: the subscription’s identifiers, status and renewal date.
